To the chief Musician. A Psalm of the servant of Jehovah; of David.

1 The transgression of the wicked uttereth within my heart, There is no fear of God*GodHebrew: Elohim before his eyes. 2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, even when his iniquity is found to be hateful. 3 The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, to do good. 4 He deviseth wickedness up on his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good: he abhorreth not evil.

5 Jehovah, thy loving-kindness is in the heavens, and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. 6 Thy righteousness is like the high mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: thou, Jehovah, preservest man and beast. 7 How precious is thy loving-kindness, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim So the sons of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings. 8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou wilt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. 9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. 10 Continue thy loving-kindness unto them that know thee, and thy righteousness to the upright in heart; 11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked drive me away. 12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and are not able to rise.

Un psalm al lui David, robul Domnului

1 Nelegiuirea celui rău zice inimii mele:

„Nu*Rom. 3:18. este frică de Dumnezeu înaintea ochilor lui."

2 Căci se măgulește*Deut. 29:19.Ps. 10:3;49:18. singur în ochii lui,

ca să-și desăvârșească fărădelegea, ca să-și potolească ura.

3 Cuvintele gurii lui sunt mincinoase și înșelătoare*Ps. 12:2.;

nu mai vrea*Ier. 4:22. să lucreze cu înțelepciune și să facă binele.

4 În așternutul lui se gândește la răutate*Prov. 4:16.Mica 2:1.,

stă pe*Is. 65:2. o cale care nu este bună

și nu urăște răul.

5 Bunătatea Ta, Doamne, ajunge până*Ps. 57:10;108:4. la ceruri

și credincioșia Ta, până la nori.

6 Dreptatea Ta este ca munții lui Dumnezeu

și judecățile*Iov 11:8.Ps. 77:19.Rom. 11:33. Tale sunt ca adâncul cel mare.

Doamne, Tu sprijini pe oameni*Iov 7:20.Ps. 145:9.1 Tim. 4:10. și pe dobitoace!

7 Cât*Ps. 31:19. de scumpă este bunătatea Ta, Dumnezeule!

La umbra aripilor Tale găsesc*Rut 2:12.Ps. 17:8;91:4. fiii oamenilor adăpost.

8 Se*Ps. 65:4. satură de belșugul Casei Tale

și-i adăpi din șuvoiul*Iov 20:17.Apoc. 22:1. desfătărilor*Ps. 16:11. Tale.

9 Căci*Ier. 2:13.Ioan 4:10,14. la Tine este izvorul vieții;

prin*1 Pet. 2:9. lumina Ta vedem lumina.

10 Întinde-Ți și mai departe bunătatea peste*Ier. 22:16. cei ce Te cunosc

și dreptatea peste cei cu inima neprihănită*Ps. 7:10;94:15;97:11.!

11 Să nu m-ajungă piciorul celui mândru

și să nu mă pună pe fugă mâna celor răi!

12 Cei ce fac fărădelegea au și început să cadă;

sunt răsturnați și*Ps. 1:5. nu pot să se mai scoale.
