A Psalm. Of Asaph.

1 ·God*GodHebrew: El Elohim-Jehovah, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof. 2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God*GodHebrew: Elohim hath shined forth. 3 Our God*GodHebrew: Elohim will come, and will not keep silence: fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. 4 He will call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people: 5 Gather unto me my godly ones, those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice! 6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness; for God*GodHebrew: Elohim executeth judgment himself. Selah.

7 Hear, my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify unto thee: I am God*GodHebrew: Elohim thy God*GodHebrew: Elohim8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices, or thy burnt-offerings, continually before me; 9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he-goats out of thy folds: 10 For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle upon a thousand hills; 11 I know all the fowl of the mountains, and the roaming creatures of the field are mine: 12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee; for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof. 13 Should I eat the flesh of bulls, and drink the blood of goats? 14 Offer unto God*GodHebrew: Elohim thanksgiving, and perform thy vows unto the Most High; 15 And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

16 But unto the wicked God*GodHebrew: Elohim saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant into thy mouth, 17 Seeing thou hast hated correction and hast cast my words behind thee? 18 When thou sawest a thief, thou didst take pleasure in him, and thy portion was with adulterers; 19 Thou lettest thy mouth loose to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit; 20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother, thou revilest thine own mother’s son: 21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes. 22 Now consider this, ye that forget +God*GodHebrew: Eloah lest I tear in pieces, and there be no deliverer. 23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me; and to him that ordereth his way will I shew the salvation of God*GodHebrew: Elohim.

1 Dumnezeu*Neem. 9:32.Is. 9:6.Ier. 32:18., da, Dumnezeu, Domnul, vorbește

și cheamă pământul de la răsăritul soarelui până la asfințitul lui.

2 Din Sion, care este întruparea*Ps. 48:2. frumuseții desăvârșite,

de acolo strălucește Dumnezeu*Deut. 33:2.Ps. 80:1..

3 Dumnezeul nostru vine și nu tace.

Înaintea Lui merge un foc*Lev. 10:2.Num. 16:35.Ps. 97:3.Dan. 7:10. mistuitor

și împrejurul Lui, o furtună puternică.

4 El*Deut. 4:26;31:28;32:1.Is. 1:2.Mica 6:1,2. strigă spre ceruri sus

și spre pământ, ca să judece pe poporul Său:

5 „Strângeți-Mi pe credincioșii*Deut. 33:3.Is. 13:3. Mei,

care*Exod 24:7. au făcut legământ cu Mine prin jertfă!"

6 Atunci, cerurile*Ps. 97:6. vor vesti dreptatea Lui,

căci Dumnezeu*Ps. 75:7. este Cel ce judecă. (Oprire)

7 „Ascultă*Ps. 81:8., poporul Meu, și voi vorbi;

ascultă, Israele, și te voi înștiința!

Eu sunt Dumnezeu*Exod 20:2., Dumnezeul tău.

8 Nu*Osea 6:6. pentru jertfele tale te*Is. 1:11.Ier. 7:22. mustru,

căci arderile tale de tot sunt necurmat înaintea Mea.

9 Nu*Mica 6:6.Fapte 17:25. voi lua tauri din casa ta,

nici țapi din staulele tale.

10 Căci ale Mele sunt toate dobitoacele pădurilor,

toate fiarele munților cu miile lor.

11 Eu cunosc toate păsările de pe munți

și tot ce se mișcă pe câmp este al Meu.

12 Dacă Mi-ar fi foame, nu ți-aș spune ție,

căci*Exod 19:5.Deut. 10:14.Iov 41:11.Ps. 24:1.1 Cor. 10:26,28. a Mea este lumea și tot ce cuprinde ea.

13 Oare mănânc Eu carnea taurilor?

Oare beau Eu sângele țapilor?

14 Adu ca jertfă*Osea 14:2.Evr. 13:15. lui Dumnezeu mulțumiri

și împlinește-ți*Deut. 23:21.Iov 22:27.Ps. 76:11.Ecl. 5:4,5. juruințele făcute Celui Preaînalt!

15 Cheamă-Mă*Iov 22:27.Ps. 91:15;107:6,13,19,28.Zah. 13:9. în ziua necazului

și Eu te voi izbăvi, iar tu Mă*Vers. 23.Ps. 22:23. vei proslăvi!"

16 Dumnezeu zice însă celui rău:

„Ce tot înșiri tu legile Mele

și ai în gură legământul Meu,

17 când*Rom. 2:21,22. tu urăști mustrările

și arunci*Neem. 9:26. cuvintele Mele înapoia ta?

18 Dacă vezi un hoț, te unești*Rom. 1:32. cu el

și te însoțești cu*1 Tim. 5:22. preacurvarii.

19 Dai drumul gurii la rău

și limba ta*Ps. 52:2. urzește vicleșuguri.

20 Stai și vorbești împotriva fratelui tău,

clevetești pe fiul mamei tale.

21 Iată ce ai făcut, și*Ecl. 8:11,12.Is. 26:10;57:11. Eu am tăcut.

Ți-ai închipuit*Rom. 2:4. că Eu sunt ca tine.

Dar te*Ps. 90:8. voi mustra și îți voi pune totul sub ochi!

22 Luați seama dar, voi, care uitați*Iov 8:13.Ps. 9:17.Is. 51:13. pe Dumnezeu,

ca nu cumva să vă sfâșii și să nu fie nimeni să vă scape.

23 Cine*Ps. 27:6.Rom. 12:1. aduce mulțumiri ca jertfă, acela Mă proslăvește,

și celui*Gal. 6:16. ce veghează asupra căii lui,

aceluia îi voi arăta mântuirea lui Dumnezeu."
