1 In Judah is God*GodHebrew: Elohim known, his name is great in Israel; 2 And in Salem is his tent, and his dwelling-place in Zion. 3 There broke he the flashings of the bow, shield and sword and battle. Selah. 4 More glorious art thou, more excellent, than the mountains of prey. 5 The stout-hearted are made a spoil, they have slept their sleep; and none of the men of might have found their hands. 6 At thy rebuke, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim of Jacob, both chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

7 Thou, thou art to be feared, and who can stand before thee when once thou art angry? 8 Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from the heavens; the earth feared, and was still, 9 When God*GodHebrew: Elohim rose up to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah. 10 For the fury of man shall praise thee; the remainder of fury wilt thou gird on thyself. 11 Vow and pay unto Jehovah your God*GodHebrew: Elohim let all that are round about him bring presents unto him that is to be feared. 12 He cutteth off the spirit of princes; he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

1 Dumnezeu este cunoscut în Iuda*Ps. 48:1.,

mare este Numele Lui în Israel.

2 Cortul Lui este în Salem

și locuința Lui, în Sion;

3 acolo a sfărâmat*Ps. 46:9.Ezec. 39:9. El săgețile,

scutul, sabia și armele de război. (Oprire)

4 Tu ești mai măreț, mai puternic decât*Ezec. 38:12,13;39:4. munții răpitorilor.

5 Despuiați au fost vitejii*Is. 46:12. aceia plini de inimă, au adormit*Ps. 13:3.Ier. 51:39. somnul de apoi;

n-au putut să se apere toți acei oameni viteji.

6 La*Exod 15:1,21.Ezec. 39:20.Zah. 2:13;12:4. mustrarea Ta, Dumnezeul lui Iacov,

au adormit și călăreți, și cai.

7 Cât de înfricoșat ești Tu!

Cine*Zah. 1:6. poate să-Ți stea împotrivă când Îți izbucnește mânia?

8 Ai*Ezec. 38:20. rostit hotărârea de la înălțimea cerurilor;

pământul s-a îngrozit*2 Cron. 20:29,30. și a tăcut

9 când S-a*Ps. 9:7-9;72:4. ridicat Dumnezeu să facă dreptate

și să scape pe toți nenorociții de pe pământ. (Oprire)

10 Omul Te laudă chiar și în mânia*Exod 9:16;18:11.Ps. 65:7. lui,

când Te îmbraci cu toată urgia Ta.

11 Faceți*Ecl. 5:4-6. juruințe Domnului Dumnezeului vostru și împliniți-le!

Toți*2 Cron. 32:22,23.Ps. 68:29;89:7. cei ce-L înconjoară să aducă daruri Dumnezeului celui înfricoșat.

12 El frânge mândria domnitorilor,

El este înfricoșat*Ps. 68:35. pentru împărații pământului.
