A Song of degrees.

1 Out of the depths do I call upon thee, Jehovah. 2 Lord, hear my voice; let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication. 3 If thou, Jah, shouldest mark iniquities, Lord, who shall stand? 4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

5 I wait for Jehovah; my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. 6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than the watchers wait for the morning, more than the watchers for the morning. 7 Let Israel hope in Jehovah, because with Jehovah there is loving-kindness, and with him is plenteous redemption; 8 And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

2 Doamne, ascultă-mi glasul!

Să ia aminte urechile Tale

la glasul cererilor mele!

3 Dacă*Ps. 143:2.Rom. 3:20,23,24. ai păstra, Doamne, aducerea aminte a nelegiuirilor,

cine ar putea sta în picioare, Doamne?

4 Dar la Tine este iertare*Exod 34:7.,

ca să fii de temut*1 Împ. 8:40.Ps. 2:11.Ier. 33:8,9..

5 Eu nădăjduiesc*Ps. 27:14;33:20;40:1.Is. 8:17;26:8;30:18. în Domnul, sufletul meu nădăjduiește

și aștept*Ps. 119:81. făgăduința Lui.

6 Sufletul*Ps. 63:6;119:147. meu așteaptă pe Domnul

mai mult decât așteaptă străjerii dimineața,

da, mai mult decât așteaptă străjerii dimineața.

7 Israele, pune-ți nădejdea*Ps. 131:3. în Domnul,

căci la*Ps. 86:5,15.Is. 55:7. Domnul este îndurarea

și la El este belșug de răscumpărare!

8 El*Ps. 103:3,4.Mat. 1:21. va răscumpăra pe Israel

din toate nelegiuirile lui.
