A Psalm of David.

1 Unto thee, Jehovah, do I lift up my soul. 2 My God*GodHebrew: Elohim I confide in thee; let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. 3 Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed: they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause. 4 Make me to know thy ways, O Jehovah; teach me thy paths. 5 Make me to walk in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God*GodHebrew: Elohim of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. 6 Remember, Jehovah, thy tender mercies and thy loving-kindnesses; for they are from everlasting. 7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to thy loving-kindness remember thou me, for thy goodness' sake, Jehovah.

8 Good and upright is Jehovah; therefore will he instruct sinners in the way: 9 The meek will he guide in judgment, and the meek will he teach his way. 10 All the paths of Jehovah are loving-kindness and truth for such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. 11 For thy name’s sake, O Jehovah, thou wilt indeed pardon mine iniquity; for it is great. 12 What man is he that feareth Jehovah? him will he instruct in the way that he should choose. 13 His soul shall dwell in prosperity, and his seed shall inherit the earth. 14 The secret of Jehovah is with them that fear him, that he may make known his covenant to them.

15 Mine eyes are ever toward Jehovah; for he will bring my feet out of the net. 16 Turn toward me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted. 17 The troubles of my heart are increased: bring me out of my distresses; 18 Consider mine affliction and my travail, and forgive all my sins. 19 Consider mine enemies, for they are many, and they hate me with cruel hatred. 20 Keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I trust in thee. 21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee. 22 Redeem Israel, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim out of all his troubles.

1 La Tine*Ps. 86:4;143:8.Plâng. 3:41., Doamne, îmi înalț sufletul.

2 În Tine, Dumnezeule, mă încred*Ps. 22:5;31:1;34:8.Is. 28:16;49:23.Rom. 10:11.: să nu fiu dat de rușine,

ca să*Ps. 13:4. nu se bucure vrăjmașii mei de mine!

3 Da, toți cei ce nădăjduiesc în Tine nu vor fi dați de rușine,

ci de rușine vor fi dați cei ce Te părăsesc fără temei.

4 Arată-mi, Doamne, căile*Exod 33:13.Ps. 5:8;27:11;86:11;119:1;143:8,10. Tale

și învață-mă cărările Tale!

5 Povățuiește-mă în adevărul Tău și învață-mă,

căci Tu ești Dumnezeul mântuirii mele,

Tu ești totdeauna nădejdea mea!

6 Adu-Ți aminte, Doamne, de îndurarea*Ps. 103:17;106:1;107:1.Is. 63:15.Ier. 33:11. și bunătatea Ta,

căci sunt veșnice.

7 Nu-Ți aduce aminte de greșelile*Iov 13:26;20:11.Ier. 3:25. din tinerețea mea, nici de fărădelegile mele,

ci adu-Ți aminte de mine,

după*Ps. 51:1. îndurarea Ta, pentru bunătatea Ta, Doamne!

8 Domnul este bun și drept,

de aceea arată El păcătoșilor calea.

9 El face pe cei smeriți să umble în tot ce este drept.

El învață pe cei smeriți calea Sa.

10 Toate cărările Domnului sunt îndurare și credincioșie

pentru cei ce păzesc legământul și poruncile Lui.

11 Pentru*Ps. 31:3;79:9;109:21;143:11. Numele Tău, Doamne, iartă-mi fărădelegea,

căci*Rom. 5:20. mare este!

12 Cine este omul care se teme de Domnul?

Aceluia*Ps. 37:23. Domnul îi arată calea pe care trebuie s-o aleagă.

13 El*Prov. 19:23. va locui în fericire

și sămânța*Ps. 37:11,22,29. lui va stăpâni țara.

14 Prietenia*Prov. 3:32.Ioan 7:17;15:15. Domnului este pentru cei ce se tem de El

și legământul făcut cu El le dă învățătură.

15 Eu îmi întorc necurmat ochii*Ps. 141:8. spre Domnul,

căci El îmi va scoate picioarele din laț.

16 Privește-mă*Ps. 69:16;86:16. și ai milă de mine,

căci sunt părăsit și nenorocit!

17 Neliniștea inimii mele crește:

scoate-mă din necazul meu!

18 Uită-Te*2 Sam. 16:12. la ticăloșia și truda mea

și iartă-mi toate păcatele mele!

19 Vezi cât de mulți sunt vrăjmașii mei

și cu ce ură mare mă urmăresc.

20 Păzește-mi sufletul și scapă-mă!

Nu*Vers. 2. mă lăsa să fiu dat de rușine când mă încred în Tine!

21 Să mă ocrotească nevinovăția și neprihănirea,

când îmi pun nădejdea în Tine!

22 Izbăvește*Ps. 130:8., Dumnezeule, pe Israel din toate necazurile lui!
