A Song, a Psalm of David.

1 My heart is fixed, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim I will sing, yea, I will sing psalms, even with my glory. 2 Awake, lute and harp: I will wake the dawn. 3 I will give thee thanks among the peoples, O Jehovah; of thee will I sing psalms among the nations: 4 For thy loving-kindness is great above the heavens, and thy truth is unto the clouds. 5 Be thou exalted above the heavens, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim and thy glory above all the earth.

6 That thy beloved ones may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me. 7 God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth. 8 Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine, and Ephraim is the strength of my head; Judah is my law-giver; 9 Moab is my wash-pot; upon Edom will I cast my sandal; over Philistia will I shout aloud. 10 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me unto Edom? 11 Wilt not thou, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim who didst cast us off? and didst not go forth, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim with our armies? 12 Give us help from trouble; for vain is man’s deliverance. 13 Through God*GodHebrew: Elohim we shall do valiantly; and he it is that will tread down our adversaries.

O cântare. Un psalm al lui David

1 Gata*Ps. 57:7. îmi este inima să cânte, Dumnezeule!

Voi cânta, voi suna din instrumentele mele; aceasta este slava mea!

2 Deșteptați-vă*Ps. 57:8-11., alăută și harpă!

Mă voi trezi în zori de zi.

3 Te voi lăuda printre popoare, Doamne,

Te voi cânta printre neamuri.

4 Căci mare este bunătatea Ta și se înalță mai presus de ceruri,

iar credincioșia Ta până la nori.

5 Înalță-Te*Ps. 57:5,11. peste ceruri, Dumnezeule,

și fie slava Ta peste tot pământul!

6 Pentru ca*Ps. 60:5. preaiubiții Tăi să fie izbăviți,

scapă-ne prin dreapta Ta și ascultă-ne!

7 Dumnezeu a vorbit în sfințenia Lui: „Voi birui,

voi împărți Sihemul, voi măsura valea Sucot;

8 al Meu este Galaadul, al Meu Manase;

Efraim este întăritura capului Meu

și Iuda*Gen. 49:10., toiagul Meu de cârmuire;

9 Moab este ligheanul în care Mă spăl;

Îmi arunc încălțămintea asupra Edomului;

strig de bucurie asupra țării filistenilor!"

10 Cine*Ps. 60:9. mă va duce în cetatea întărită?

Cine mă va duce la Edom?

11 Oare nu Tu, Dumnezeule, care ne-ai lepădat

și care nu vrei să mai ieși, Dumnezeule, cu oștirile noastre?

12 Dă-ne ajutor în necaz,

căci zadarnic este ajutorul omului.

13 Cu*Ps. 60:12. Dumnezeu vom face mari isprăvi;

El va zdrobi pe vrăjmașii noștri.
