1 Be gracious unto me, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim be gracious unto me; for my soul taketh refuge in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings do I take refuge, until the calamities be overpast. 2 I will call unto God*GodHebrew: Elohim the Most High; unto ·God*GodHebrew: El that performeth all for me. 3 He will send from the heavens and save me; he hath covered with reproach him that would swallow me up. Selah. God*GodHebrew: Elohim hath sent forth his loving-kindness and his truth. 4 My soul is in the midst of lions; I lie down among them that breathe out flames, the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword. 5 Be exalted above the heavens, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim let thy glory be above all the earth! 6 They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul was bowed down: they have digged a pit before me; they are fallen into the midst thereof. 7 My heart is fixed, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim my heart is fixed: I will sing, yea, I will sing psalms. 8 Awake, my glory; awake, lute and harp: I will wake the dawn. 9 I will give thee thanks among the peoples, O Lord; of thee will I sing psalms among the nations: 10 For thy loving-kindness is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds. 11 Be exalted above the heavens, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim let thy glory be above all the earth!

1 Ai milă*Ps. 56:1. de mine, Dumnezeule, ai milă de mine,

căci în Tine mi se încrede sufletul;

la*Ps. 17:8;63:7. umbra aripilor Tale caut un loc de scăpare

până*Is. 26:20. vor trece nenorocirile.

2 Eu strig către Dumnezeu, către Cel Preaînalt,

către Dumnezeu, care*Ps. 138:8. lucrează pentru mine.

3 El*Ps. 144:5,7. îmi va trimite izbăvire din cer,

în timp ce prigonitorul meu îmi aruncă*Ps. 56:1. ocări.

Da, Dumnezeu Își va*Ps. 40:11;43:3;61:7. trimite bunătatea și credincioșia.

4 Sufletul meu este între niște lei:

stau culcat în mijlocul unor oameni care varsă flăcări,

în mijlocul unor oameni ai*Prov. 30:14. căror dinți sunt sulițe și săgeți

și a căror limbă*Ps. 55:21;64:3. este o sabie ascuțită.

5 Înalță-Te*Vers. 11.Ps. 108:5. peste ceruri, Dumnezeule,

peste tot pământul să se întindă slava Ta!

6 Ei*Ps. 7:15,16;9:15. întinseseră un laț sub pașii mei;

sufletul mi se încovoia

și-mi săpaseră o groapă înainte:

dar au căzut ei în ea. (Oprire)

7 Inima mea este tare*Ps. 108:1., Dumnezeule, inima mea este tare;

voi cânta, da, și voi suna din instrumentele mele.

8 Trezește-te, suflete*Ps. 16:9;30:12;108:1,2.! Treziți-vă, alăută și harpă!

Mă voi trezi în zori de zi.

9 Te voi lăuda*Ps. 108:3. printre popoare, Doamne!

Te voi cânta printre neamuri.

10 Căci*Ps. 36:5;71:19;103:11;108:4. bunătatea Ta ajunge până la ceruri

și credincioșia Ta, până la nori.

11 Înalță-Te*Vers. 5. peste ceruri, Dumnezeule,

peste tot pământul să se întindă slava Ta!
