1 Make haste, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim to deliver me; Jehovah, hasten to my help. 2 Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion that seek after my soul; let them be turned backward and confounded that take pleasure in mine adversity; 3 Let them turn back because of their shame that say, Aha! Aha! 4 Let all those that seek thee be glad and rejoice in thee, and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God*GodHebrew: Elohim be magnified! 5 But I am afflicted and needy: make haste unto me, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim Thou art my help and my deliverer: O Jehovah, make no delay.

Un psalm al lui David. Ca aducere aminte

1 Grăbește, Dumnezeule*Ps. 40:13;71:12., de mă izbăvește!

Grăbește de-mi ajută, Doamne!

2 Să rămână de rușine*Ps. 35:4,26;71:13. și înfruntați

cei ce vor să-mi ia viața!

Să dea înapoi și să roșească

cei ce-mi doresc pieirea!

3 Să se întoarcă*Ps. 40:15. înapoi de rușine cei ce zic: „Aha! Aha!"

4 Toți cei ce Te caută să se veselească și să se bucure în Tine!

Cei ce iubesc mântuirea Ta

să zică neîncetat: „Preamărit să fie Dumnezeu!"

5 Eu*Ps. 40:17. sunt sărac și lipsit: grăbește*Ps. 141:1. să-mi ajuți, Dumnezeule!

Tu ești Ajutorul și Izbăvitorul meu:

Doamne, nu zăbovi!
