A Prayer of David.

1 Incline thine ear, Jehovah, answer me; for I am afflicted and needy. 2 Keep my soul, for I am godly; O thou my God*GodHebrew: Elohim save thy servant who confideth in thee. 3 Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for unto thee do I call all the day. 4 Rejoice the soul of thy servant; for unto thee, Lord, do I lift up my soul. 5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, and art of great loving-kindness unto all that call upon thee. 6 Give ear, O Jehovah, unto my prayer, and attend to the voice of my supplications. 7 In the day of my distress I will call upon thee, for thou wilt answer me.

8 Among the gods there is none like unto thee, Lord, and there is nothing like unto thy works. 9 All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord, and shall glorify thy name. 10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God*GodHebrew: Elohim thou alone. 11 Teach me thy way, Jehovah; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. 12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God*GodHebrew: Elohim with my whole heart; and I will glorify thy name for evermore. 13 For great is thy loving-kindness toward me, and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol. 14 O God*GodHebrew: Elohim the proud are risen against me, and the assembly of the violent seek after my soul, and they have not set thee before them. 15 But thou, Lord, art a ·God*GodHebrew: El merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in goodness and truth. 16 Turn toward me, and be gracious unto me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid. 17 Shew me a token for good, that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed; for thou, Jehovah, hast helped me and comforted me.

1 Ia aminte, Doamne, și ascultă-mă,

căci sunt nenorocit și lipsit!

2 Păzește-mi sufletul, căci sunt unul din cei iubiți de Tine!

Scapă, Dumnezeule, pe robul Tău, care*Is. 26:3. se încrede în Tine!

3 Ai milă*Ps. 56:1;57:1. de mine, Doamne,

căci toată ziua strig către Tine!

4 Înveselește sufletul robului Tău,

căci*Ps. 25:1;143:8. la Tine, Doamne, îmi înalț sufletul!

5 Căci*Vers. 15.Ps. 130:7;145:9.Ioel 2:13. Tu ești bun, Doamne, gata să ierți

și plin de îndurare cu toți cei ce Te cheamă.

6 Pleacă-Ți urechea, Doamne, la rugăciunea mea,

ia aminte la glasul cererilor mele!

7 Te chem în*Ps. 50:15. ziua necazului meu,

căci m-asculți.

8 Nimeni nu este ca Tine între*Exod 15:11.Ps. 89:6. dumnezei, Doamne,

și nimic*Deut. 3:24. nu seamănă cu lucrările Tale.

9 Toate*Ps. 22:31;102:18.Is. 43:7.Apoc. 15:4. neamurile pe care le-ai făcut vor veni să se închine înaintea Ta, Doamne,

și să dea slavă Numelui Tău.

10 Căci Tu ești mare și faci*Exod 15:11.Ps. 72:18;77:14. minuni –

numai*Deut. 6:4;32:39.Is. 37:16;44:6.Marcu 12:29.1 Cor. 8:4.Efes. 4:6. Tu ești Dumnezeu.

11 Învață-mă*Ps. 25:4;27:11;119:33;143:8. căile Tale, Doamne! Eu voi umbla în adevărul Tău.

Fă-mi inima să se teamă de Numele Tău.

12 Te voi lăuda din toată inima mea, Doamne, Dumnezeul meu,

și voi preamări Numele Tău în veci!

13 Căci mare este bunătatea Ta față de mine

și Tu îmi izbăvești*Ps. 56:13;116:8. sufletul din adânca Locuință a morților.

14 Dumnezeule, niște îngâmfați*Ps. 54:3. s-au sculat împotriva mea,

o ceată de oameni asupritori vor să-mi ia viața

și nu se gândesc la Tine.

15 Dar*Exod 34:6.Num. 14:18.Neem. 9:17. Vers. 5.Ps. 103:8;111:4;130:4,7;145:8.Ioel 2:13. Tu, Doamne, Tu ești un Dumnezeu îndurător și milostiv,

îndelung răbdător și bogat în bunătate și în credincioșie.

16 Îndreaptă-Ți*Ps. 25:16;69:16. privirile spre mine și ai milă de mine:

dă tărie robului Tău

și scapă pe fiul*Ps. 116:16. roabei Tale!

17 Fă un semn pentru mine,

ca să vadă vrăjmașii mei și să rămână de rușine,

căci Tu mă ajuți și mă mângâi, Doamne!
