A Song; a Psalm. Of the sons of Korah.

1 Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God*GodHebrew: Elohim in the hill of his holiness. 2 Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. 3 God is known in her palaces as a high fortress. 4 For behold, the kings assembled themselves, they passed by together; 5 They saw, — so they marvelled; they were troubled, they fled in consternation: 6 Trembling took hold upon them there; anguish, as of a woman in travail. 7 With an east wind thou hast broken the ships of Tarshish.

8 As we have heard, so have we seen, in the city of Jehovah of hosts, in the city of our God*GodHebrew: Elohim God*GodHebrew: Elohim doth establish it for ever. Selah. 9 We have thought, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim of thy loving-kindness, in the midst of thy temple. 10 According to thy name, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness. 11 Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments. 12 Walk about Zion, and go round about her: count the towers thereof; 13 Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces: that ye may tell it to the generation following. 14 For this God*GodHebrew: Elohim is our God*GodHebrew: Elohim for ever and ever; he will be our guide until death.

1 Mare este Domnul și lăudat de toți

în*Ps. 46:4;87:3. cetatea Dumnezeului nostru, pe muntele*Is. 2:2,3.Mica 4:1.Zah. 8:3. Lui cel sfânt.

2 Frumoasă*Ps. 50:2.Ier. 3:19.Plâng. 2:15.Dan. 8:9;11:16. înălțime, bucuria*Ezec. 20:6. întregului pământ, este muntele Sionului;

în*Is. 14:13. partea de miazănoapte este cetatea*Mat. 5:35. Marelui Împărat.

3 Dumnezeu, în casele Lui împărătești, este cunoscut ca un turn de scăpare.

4 Căci iată că împărații*2 Sam. 10:6,14,16,18,19. se adunaseră:

doar au trecut împreună,

5 au privit-o, au înlemnit,

s-au temut și au luat-o la fugă.

6 I-a apucat*Exod 15:15. un tremur acolo,

ca durerea*Osea 13:13. unei femei la facere.

7 Au fost izgoniți de parcă ar fi fost luați de*Ier. 18:17. vântul de răsărit,

care sfărâmă*Ezec. 27:26. corăbiile din Tarsis.

8 Întocmai cum auziserăm spunându-se, așa am văzut

în cetatea*Vers. 1,2. Domnului oștirilor, în cetatea Dumnezeului nostru:

Dumnezeu o va face să dăinuiască*Is. 2:2.Mica 4:1. pe vecie. (Oprire)

9 Dumnezeule, la bunătatea*Ps. 26:3;40:10. Ta ne gândim

în mijlocul Templului Tău!

10 Ca și Numele*Deut. 28:58.Ios. 7:9.Ps. 113:3.Mal. 1:11,14. Tău, Dumnezeule,

și lauda Ta răsună până la marginile pământului;

dreapta Ta este plină de îndurare.

11 Se bucură muntele Sionului

și se veselesc fiicele lui Iuda

de judecățile Tale.

12 Străbateți Sionul și ocoliți-l,

numărați-i turnurile,

13 priviți-i întăritura

și cercetați-i palatele,

ca să povestiți celor ce vor veni după ei!

14 Iată, Dumnezeul acesta este Dumnezeul nostru în veci de veci;

El va fi călăuza noastră*Is. 58:11. până la moarte.
