1 In thee, Jehovah, do I trust: let me never be ashamed. 2 Deliver me in thy righteousness, and rescue me; incline thine ear unto me, and save me. 3 Be to me a rock of habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress. 4 My God*GodHebrew: Elohim rescue me out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. 5 For thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah, my confidence from my youth. 6 On thee have I been stayed from the womb; from the bowels of my mother thou didst draw me forth: my praise shall be continually of thee. 7 I have been as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge. 8 My mouth shall be filled with thy praise, with thy glory, all the day. 9 Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth. 10 For mine enemies speak against me, and they that watch for my soul consult together, 11 Saying, God*GodHebrew: Elohim hath forsaken him; pursue and seize him, for there is none to deliver. 12 O God*GodHebrew: Elohim be not far from me; my God*GodHebrew: Elohim hasten to my help. 13 Let them be ashamed, let them be consumed, that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.

14 But as for me, I will hope continually, and will praise thee yet more and more. 15 My mouth shall declare thy righteousness, and thy salvation all the day: for I know not the numbers thereof. 16 I will go in the might of the Lord Jehovah; I will recall thy righteousness, thine alone. 17 O God*GodHebrew: Elohim thou hast taught me from my youth, and hitherto have I proclaimed thy marvellous works: 18 Now also, when I am old and greyheaded, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim forsake me not, until I have proclaimed thine arm unto this generation, thy might to every one that is to come. 19 And thy righteousness, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim reacheth on high, thou who hast done great things: O God*GodHebrew: Elohim who is like unto thee? 20 Thou, who hast shewn us many and sore troubles, wilt revive us again, and wilt bring us up again from the depths of the earth; 21 Thou wilt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side. 22 I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, my God*GodHebrew: Elohim unto thee will I sing psalms with the harp, thou holy One of Israel. 23 My lips shall exult when I sing psalms unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed. 24 My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day; for they shall be ashamed, for they shall be brought to confusion, that seek my hurt.

2 Scapă-mă în dreptatea Ta și izbăvește-mă*Ps. 31:1.!

Pleacă-Ți*Ps. 17:6. urechea spre mine și ajută-mi!

3 Fii*Ps. 31:2,3. o stâncă de adăpost pentru mine, unde să pot fugi totdeauna!

Tu ai hotărât*Ps. 44:4. să mă scapi,

căci Tu ești stânca și cetățuia mea.

4 Izbăvește-mă*Ps. 140:1,4., Dumnezeule, din mâna celui rău,

din mâna omului nelegiuit și asupritor!

5 Căci Tu ești nădejdea*Ier. 17:7,17. mea, Doamne Dumnezeule!

În Tine mă încred din tinerețea mea.

6 Pe*Ps. 22:9,10.Is. 46:3. Tine mă sprijin din pântecele mamei mele.

Tu ești Binefăcătorul meu încă din pântecele mamei;

pe Tine Te laud fără-ncetare.

7 Pentru*Is. 8:18.Zah. 3:8.1 Cor. 4:9. mulți, am ajuns ca o minune,

dar Tu ești scăparea mea cea tare.

8 Să mi se umple gura*Ps. 35:28. de laudele Tale

și-n fiecare zi să Te slăvească!

9 Nu*Vers. 18. mă lepăda la vremea bătrâneții;

când mi se duc puterile, nu mă părăsi!

10 Căci vrăjmașii mei vorbesc de mine

și cei ce-mi pândesc viața se*2 Sam. 17:1.Mat. 27:1. sfătuiesc între ei

11 zicând: „L-a părăsit Dumnezeu;

urmăriți-l, puneți mâna pe el, căci nu-i nimeni care să-l scape!"

12 Dumnezeule*Ps. 22:11,19;35:22;38:21,22., nu Te depărta de mine!

Dumnezeule, vino degrabă*Ps. 70:1. în ajutorul meu!

13 Să rămână de rușine*Vers. 24.Ps. 35:4,26;40:14;70:2. și nimiciți cei ce vor să-mi ia viața!

Să fie acoperiți de rușine și de ocară cei ce-mi caută pierzarea!

14 Și eu voi nădăjdui pururea,

Te voi lăuda tot mai mult.

15 Gura*Vers. 8,24.Ps. 35:28. mea va vesti zi de zi dreptatea și mântuirea Ta,

căci nu le*Ps. 40:5;139:17,18. cunosc marginile.

16 Voi spune lucrările Tale cele puternice, Doamne Dumnezeule!

Voi pomeni dreptatea Ta și numai pe a Ta!

17 Dumnezeule, Tu m-ai învățat din tinerețe,

și până acum eu vestesc minunile Tale.

18 Nu mă părăsi, Dumnezeule, chiar*Vers. 9. la bătrânețea căruntă,

ca să vestesc tăria Ta neamului de acum

și puterea Ta neamului de oameni care va veni!

19 Dreptatea*Ps. 57:10. Ta, Dumnezeule, ajunge până la cer.

Tu ai săvârșit lucruri mari:

Dumnezeule*Ps. 35:10;86:8;89:6,8., cine este ca Tine?

20 Ne-ai făcut*Ps. 60:3. să trecem prin multe necazuri și nenorociri,

dar ne vei da iarăși viața*Osea 6:1,2.,

ne vei scoate iarăși din adâncurile pământului.

21 Înalță-mi mărimea mea,

întoarce-Te și mângâie-mă din nou!

22 Și Te voi lăuda în sunet de*Ps. 92:1-3;150:3. alăută,

Îți voi cânta credincioșia. Dumnezeule,

Te voi lăuda cu harpa,

Sfântul*2 Împ. 19:22.Is. 60:9. lui Israel!

23 Când Te voi lăuda, voi fi cu bucuria pe buze,

cu bucuria în sufletul*Ps. 103:4. pe care mi l-ai izbăvit;

24 și limba*Vers. 8,15. mea va vesti zi de zi dreptatea Ta,

căci*Vers. 13. cei ce-mi caută pierzarea sunt rușinați și roșii de rușine.
