1 O Senhor é quem governa o mundo.

Tremam os povos!

O seu assento está entre os querubins.

Estremeça a Terra!

2 O Senhor é grande em Sião;

todos reconhecem que está acima das nações.

3 Que toda a gente te louve pelo prestígio do teu nome,

pois é grande e santo!

4 O Rei determinou usar todo o seu poder,

para que se faça justiça.

A imparcialidade é a tua marca, Senhor;

a tua justiça exerce-se em todos os filhos de Jacob.

5 Louvem o Senhor, nosso Deus!

Inclinem-se na sua presença,

aproximem-se dele, pois é santo!

6 Quando Moisés e Aarão, e também Samuel,

clamavam a ele, invocando o seu nome,

e ele lhes respondia.

7 Falava-lhes da coluna de nuvem,

e o povo seguia as suas instruções,

os mandamentos que lhe tinha dado.

8 Senhor, nosso Deus, tu respondias às suas orações;

estavas sempre a perdoar as suas maldades,

ainda que sejas um Deus castigador do pecado.

9 Honrem grandemente o Senhor, nosso Deus!

Adorem-no, no seu santo monte, em Jerusalém,

porque é o Deus da santidade!

6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.

7 He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.

8 Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.

9 Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.
