He Īnoi Āwhina mai i ngā Hoariri
He waiata, he hīmene nā Rāwiri.
1 Pūmau tonu tōku ngākau, e te Atua;
ka waiata ahau, āe rā, ka hīmene ahau,
me tōku korōria anō.
2 E ara, e te hātere, e te hāpa!
Ka ara wawe anō ahau.
3 Ka whakamoemiti ahau ki a koe, e Ihowā, i waenganui i ngā iwi,
ka hīmene ki a koe i waenganui i ngā tauiwi.
4 He nui atu hoki tāu mahi tohu i ngā rangi,
ā, ko tōu pono tutuki noa atu ki ngā kapua.
5 Kia whakanuia koe, e te Atua, ki runga atu i ngā rangi,
hei runga atu i te whenua katoa tōu korōria.
6 Kia puta tāu i aroha ai, mā tōu ringa matau mātou e whakaora,
ā, whakahokia mai he kupu ki a mātou.
7 Kua kōrero te Atua i runga i tōna tapu:
"Ka hari ahau, ka kotikoti i Hekeme,
ka roherohe i te raorao o Hukota.
8 Nōku Kireara; nōku a Mānahi;
ko Ēparaima anō hoki te kaha o tōku mātenga;
ko Hūrā tāku hēpeta.
9 Ko Moapa tāku oko horoi;
ka makā e ahau tōku hū ki runga ki Ēroma;
ka whakamanamana ahau ki Pirihitia."
10 Mā wai ahau e kawe ki te pā tūwatawata?
Ko wai nāna ahau i ārahi ki Ēroma?
11 He teka ianei kua pangā mātou e koe, e te Atua?
Kāhore hoki koe, e te Atua, e haere tahi me ō mātou taua.
12 Hōmai ki a mātou he āwhina ki te hoariri;
he teka kau noa hoki te āwhina a te tangata.
13 Mā te Atua tātou ka toa ai;
māna hoki e takahi ki raro ō tātou hoa whawhai.
A Song, a Psalm of David.
1 My heart is fixed, O God;
I will sing, yea, I will sing praises, even with my glory.
2 Awake, psaltery and harp:
I myself will awake right early.
3 I will give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah, among the peoples;
And I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
4 For thy lovingkindness is great above the heavens;
And thy truth reacheth unto the skies.
5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens,
And thy glory above all the earth.
6 That thy beloved may be delivered,
Save with thy right hand, and answer us.
7 God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult;
I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
8 Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim also is the defence of my head;
Judah is my sceptre.
9 Moab is my washpot;
Upon Edom will I cast my shoe;
Over Philistia will I shout.
10 Who will bring me into the fortified city?
Who hath led me unto Edom?
11 Hast not thou cast us off, O God?
And thou goest not forth, O God, with our hosts.
12 Give us help against the adversary;
For vain is the help of man.
13 Through God we shall do valiantly:
For he it is that will tread down our adversaries.
