Salmos 90

ASV

Te Mutungakore o te Atua me te Kopītanga o te Tangata

He īnoi Mohi, te tangata a te Atua.

1 E te Ariki, ko koe mātou nohoanga

i ngā whakatupuranga katoa.

2 Kāhore anō i whānau noa ngā maunga,

kāhore i hangā e koe te whenua me te ao,

ko koe te Atua tua whakarere ā ake tonu atu.

3 E whakahokia ana e koe te tangata kia mongamonga noa,

ā, e mea ana, "E hoki, e ngā tama a te tangata."

4 Ki tāu titiro hoki, he rite ngā tau kotahi mano

ki te onanahi, kua pahure atu nei,

ki te mataaratanga hoki i te .

5 Me te mea te waipuke tāu kāhakinga i a rātou,

he moe rātou;

i te ata ānō he tarutaru e tupu ana;

6 i te ata e tupu ana, e pihi ana;

i te ahiahi kua kotia, kua maroke.

7 Kua hemo nei hoki mātou i tōu riri;

ka ohorere hoki i tōu āritatanga.

8 Kua makā e koe ō mātou kino ki tōu aroaro,

ō mātou mea huna ki te mārama o tōu mata.

9 Ka pau ō mātou katoa, me te riri anō koe;

hemo ake ō mātou tau ānō he kōrero e kōrerotia ana.

10 Ko ngā o ō mātou tau e whitu tekau tau;

ā, ki te whai kaha, ka waru tekau tau;

heoi he mahi māuiui, he pōuri rātou kaha;

Ā, kia puta he whakaaro mōu ki āu pononga.

14 Kia mātou i te ata i tāu mahi tohu;

kia hari ai mātou, kia koa ai, i ō mātou katoa.

15 Whakaharitia mātou, kia rite ki ngā i whakawhiua ai mātou e koe,

ki ngā tau i kite ai mātou i te kino.

16 Kia puta mai tāu mahi ki āu pononga,

me tōu korōria ki ā rātou tamariki.

17 Ā, hei runga i a mātou te ātaahua o Ihowā, o mātou Atua;

whakapūmautia anō ki a mātou te mahi a ō mātou ringa,

āe , te mahi a ō mātou ringa, whakapūmautia e koe.

A Prayer of Moses the man of God.

1 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling-place

In all generations.

2 Before the mountains were brought forth,

Or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world,

Even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

3 Thou turnest man to destruction,

And sayest, Return, ye children of men.

4 For a thousand years in thy sight

Are but as yesterday when it is past,

And as a watch in the night.

5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep:

In the morning they are like grass which groweth up.

6 In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up;

In the evening it is cut down, and withereth.

7 For we are consumed in thine anger,

And in thy wrath are we troubled.

8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee,

Our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath:

We bring our years to an end as a sigh.

10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten,

Or even by reason of strength fourscore years;

Yet is their pride but labor and sorrow;

For it is soon gone, and we fly away.

11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger,

And thy wrath according to the fear that is due unto thee?

12 So teach us to number our days,

That we may get us a heart of wisdom.

13 Return, O Jehovah; how long?

And let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

14 Oh satisfy us in the morning with thy lovingkindness,

That we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us,

And the years wherein we have seen evil.

16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants,

And thy glory upon their children.

17 And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us;

And establish thou the work of our hands upon us;

Yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
