He Waiata Whakamoemiti Hou

1 Whakamoemititia a Ihowā!

Waiatatia ki a Ihowā he waiata hou,

me te whakamoemiti ki a ia

i te whakaminenga o te hunga tapu.

2 Kia hari a Īharaira ki tōna kaihanga;

kia koa ngā tama a Hiona ki tō rātou Kīngi.

3 Kia whakamoemiti rātou ki tōna ingoa me te kanikani anō;

kia hīmene rātou ki a ia i runga i te timipera, i te hāpa.

4 E manako ana hoki a Ihowā ki tāna iwi;

māna e whakaataahua te hunga māhaki ki te whakaoranga.

5 Kia koa te hunga tapu i runga i te korōria;

kia hāmama rātou i te hari i runga i ō rātou moenga.

6 Kia whai whakamoemiti ō rātou māngai ki te Atua,

kia whai hoari matarua tō rātou ringa;

7 hei rapu utu i ngā tauiwi,

hei whiu i ngā iwi;

8 hei herehere i ō rātou kīngi ki te mekameka,

i ō rātou tāngata nunui ki ngā here rino;

9 hei whakaputa ki a rātou i te whakaritenga kua oti te tuhituhi.

Nō tōna hunga tapu katoa tēnei hōnore.

Whakamoemititia a Ihowā!

1 Praise ye Jehovah.

Sing unto Jehovah a new song,

And his praise in the assembly of the saints.

2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him:

Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

3 Let them praise his name in the dance:

Let them sing praises unto him with timbrel and harp.

4 For Jehovah taketh pleasure in his people:

He will beautify the meek with salvation.

5 Let the saints exult in glory:

Let them sing for joy upon their beds.

6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,

And a two-edged sword in their hand;

7 To execute vengeance upon the nations,

And punishments upon the peoples;

8 To bind their kings with chains,

And their nobles with fetters of iron;

9 To execute upon them the judgment written:

This honor have all his saints.
