Ko Ihowā te Rangatira Tino Nui

1 Ko Ihowā te Kīngi! Kia hari te whenua,

koa ngā tini moutere!

2 Ko te kapua me te pōuri kei ōna taha katoa;

ko te tika, ko te whakawā, te tūranga o tōna torōna.

3 He kāpura e haere ana i mua i a ia,

ā, pau ake ōna hoariri ā taka noa.

4 Mārama tonu te ao i āna uira;

i kite te whenua, ā, wiri ana.

5 Rewa noa ngā maunga, ānō he ware pī, i te aroaro o Ihowā,

i te aroaro o te Ariki o te whenua katoa.

6 E whakapuakina ana e ngā rangi tōna tika;

ā, e kitea ana e ngā iwi katoa tōna korōria.

7 Kia whakamā katoa te hunga e mahi ana ki ngā whakapakoko,

e whakamanamana ana ki ngā atua horihori;

koropiko ki a ia, e ngā atua katoa.

8 I rongo a Hiona, ā, koa ana;

whakamanamana ana ngā tamāhine o Hūrā,

e Ihowā, ki āu whakaritenga.

9 Ko koe hoki, e Ihowā, kei runga noa ake i te whenua katoa;

kua whakanuia koe ki runga noa ake i ngā atua katoa.

10 E te hunga e aroha ana ki a Ihowā, e kino ki te hē;

e tiakina ana e ia ngā wairua o tāna hunga tapu;

e whakaorangia ana rātou e ia i ngā ringa o te hunga kino.

11 Kua oti te mārama te whakatō mō te hunga tika;

me te koa mō te hunga ngākau tapatahi.

12 Kia hari ki a Ihowā, e te hunga tika;

whakamoemiti ki tōna ingoa tapu!

1 Jehovah reigneth; let the earth rejoice;

Let the multitude of isles be glad.

2 Clouds and darkness are round about him:

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.

3 A fire goeth before him,

And burneth up his adversaries round about.

4 His lightnings lightened the world:

The earth saw, and trembled.

5 The mountains melted like wax at the presence of Jehovah,

At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

6 The heavens declare his righteousness,

And all the peoples have seen his glory.

7 Let all them be put to shame that serve graven images,

That boast themselves of idols:

Worship him, all ye gods.

8 Zion heard and was glad,

And the daughters of Judah rejoiced,

Because of thy judgments, O Jehovah.

9 For thou, Jehovah, art most high above all the earth:

Thou art exalted far above all gods.

10 O ye that love Jehovah, hate evil:

He preserveth the souls of his saints;

He delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

11 Light is sown for the righteous,

And gladness for the upright in heart.

12 Be glad in Jehovah, ye righteous;

And give thanks to his holy memorial name.
