Ngā Mahi Ohaoha a Ihowā

1 Whakamoemititia a Ihowā!

Whakamoemititia, e ngā pononga a Ihowā;

whakamoemititia te ingoa o Ihowā.

2 Kia whakapaingia te ingoa o Ihowā

āianei ā ake ake.

3 Kia whakamoemititia te ingoa o Ihowā

i te putanga mai o te rā, ā tae noa ki tōna torengitanga.

4 Kei runga rawa a Ihowā i ngā iwi katoa;

kei runga ake i ngā rangi tōna korōria.

5 Ko wai te rite ana ki a Ihowā, ki tō tātou Atua,

kei runga nei tōna nohoanga,

6 e whakaiti nei i a ia ki te titiro iho

ki ngā mea kei te rangi, kei te whenua?

7 E whakaara ake ana ia i te iti i roto i te puehu,

e whakateitei ake ana i te rawakore i roto i te pūranga paru,

8 kia whakanohoia ai e ia ki roto ki ngā rangatira,

ki ngā rangatira o tāna iwi.

9 Nāna hoki te pākoko i whai whare ai,

hei whāereere e koa ana ki āna tamariki.

Whakamoemititia a Ihowā!

1 Praise ye Jehovah.

Praise, O ye servants of Jehovah,

Praise the name of Jehovah.

2 Blessed be the name of Jehovah

From this time forth and for evermore.

3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same

Jehovah’s name is to be praised.

4 Jehovah is high above all nations,

And his glory above the heavens.

5 Who is like unto Jehovah our God,

That hath his seat on high,

6 That humbleth himself to behold

The things that are in heaven and in the earth?

7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust,

And lifteth up the needy from the dunghill;

8 That he may set him with princes,

Even with the princes of his people.

9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house,

And to be a joyful mother of children.

Praise ye Jehovah.
