Te Reo o Ihowā i rite ki te Marangai

He hīmene nā Rāwiri.

1 Hoatu ki a Ihowā, e ngā tama a te hunga nunui,

2 Hoatu ki a Ihowā te korōria e rite ana mō tōna ingoa,

koropiko ki a Ihowā i roto i te ātaahua o te tapu.

3 Kei runga te reo o Ihowā i ngā wai;

e papā ana te whatitiri a te Atua o te korōria;

kei runga a Ihowā i ngā wai maha.

4 Kaha tonu te reo o Ihowā;

korōria tonu te reo o Ihowā.

5 Mongamonga noa ngā hīta i te reo o Ihowā;

inā, mongamonga noa i a Ihowā ngā hīta o Repanōna.

6 Ko ia hei mea i a rātou kia mokowhiti, ānō he kūao;

a Repanōna rāua ko Hiriona, ānō he kūao kau mākā.

7 E wehewehe ana te reo o Ihowā i ngā mura ahi.

8 Wiri ana te koraha i te reo o Ihowā;

wiri ana i a Ihowā te koraha o Karehe.

9 Whānau ana ngā hāta i te reo o Ihowā,

tīhorea ana ngā ngahere kia tahanga;

i tōna temepara ko te kupu a te katoa, "Korōria!"

10 I noho a Ihowā hei kīngi i runga i te waipuke;

āe, ka noho a Ihowā hei kīngi, ake ake.

11 Ka hōmai e Ihowā he kaha ki tāna hunga;

he rongo mau tā Ihowā manaaki mō tāna hunga.

A Psalm of David.

1 Ascribe unto Jehovah, O ye sons of the mighty,

Ascribe unto Jehovah glory and strength.

2 Ascribe unto Jehovah the glory due unto his name;

Worship Jehovah in holy array.

3 The voice of Jehovah is upon the waters:

The God of glory thundereth,

Even Jehovah upon many waters.

4 The voice of Jehovah is powerful;

The voice of Jehovah is full of majesty.

5 The voice of Jehovah breaketh the cedars;

Yea, Jehovah breaketh in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf;

Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild-ox.

7 The voice of Jehovah cleaveth the flames of fire.

8 The voice of Jehovah shaketh the wilderness;

Jehovah shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 The voice of Jehovah maketh the hinds to calve,

And strippeth the forests bare:

And in his temple everything saith, Glory.

10 Jehovah sat as King at the Flood;

Yea, Jehovah sitteth as King for ever.

11 Jehovah will give strength unto his people;

Jehovah will bless his people with peace.
