He Hīmene Whakawhetai

1 Whakawhetai ki a Ihowā, he pai hoki ia;

he mau tonu hoki tāna mahi tohu.

2 Whakawhetai ki te Atua o ngā atua;

he mau tonu hoki tāna mahi tohu.

3 Whakawhetai ki te Ariki o ngā ariki;

he mau tonu hoki tāna mahi tohu.

4 E mahi nei tōna kotahi i ngā merekara nunui,

he mau tonu hoki tāna mahi tohu;

5 i tohunga rawa nei ki te hanga i ngā rangi,

he mau tonu hoki tāna mahi tohu;

6 i whakatakoto nei i te whenua ki runga ki ngā wai,

he mau tonu hoki tāna mahi tohu;

7 ki te kaihanga i ngā whakamārama nunui,

he mau tonu hoki tāna mahi tohu;

8 i te rā hei tohutohu i te awatea,

he mau tonu hoki tāna mahi tohu;

9 i te marama me ngā whetū hei tohutohu i te pō,

he mau tonu hoki tāna mahi tohu.

26 Whakawhetai ki te Atua o te rangi,

19 Sihon king of the Amorites;

20 And Og king of Bashan;

21 And gave their land for a heritage;

22 Even a heritage unto Israel his servant;

For his lovingkindness endureth for ever:

23 Who remembered us in our low estate;

For his lovingkindness endureth for ever;

24 And hath delivered us from our adversaries;

For his lovingkindness endureth for ever:

25 Who giveth food to all flesh;

For his lovingkindness endureth for ever.

26 Oh give thanks unto the God of heaven;
