Te Kīngi Toa

He hīmene.

1 Waiatatia ki a Ihowā he waiata hou;

he mahi whakamīharo hoki āna.

Nā tōna ringa matau, nā tōna ringa tapu,

i taea ai e ia te whakaora.

2 Kua whakakitea e Ihowā tāna whakaoranga,

kua whakapuakina e ia tōna tika ki te aroaro o ngā tauiwi.

3 Kua mahara ia ki tāna mahi tohu,

ki tōna pono ki te whare o Īharaira;

ā, kua kite ngā pito katoa o te whenua

i te whakaoranga a tō tātou Atua.

4 Kia hari te hāmama, e te whenua katoa, ki a Ihowā;

hāmama, kia hari, āe rā, hīmene atu.

5 Hīmene ki a Ihowā i runga i te hāpa;

i runga i te hāpa, me te hīmene anō te reo.

6 I runga i te tētere, i te tangi anō o te koronete;

kia hari te hāmama ki te aroaro o Ihowā, o te Kīngi.

7 Kia haruru te moana me ngā mea e hua ana i roto;

te ao me ōna tāngata e noho ana i runga.

8 Kia papaki ngā ringa o ngā roma,

kia hari tahi ngā pukepuke.

9 Ki te aroaro o Ihowā, e haere mai ana hoki ia

ki te whakawā mō te whenua.

Ka whakawā ia mō te ao i runga i te tika,

mō ngā iwi hoki i runga i te pono.

A Psalm.

1 Oh sing unto Jehovah a new song;

For he hath done marvellous things:

His right hand, and his holy arm, hath wrought salvation for him.

2 Jehovah hath made known his salvation:

His righteousness hath he openly showed in the sight of the nations.

3 He hath remembered his lovingkindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel:

All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Make a joyful noise unto Jehovah, all the earth:

Break forth and sing for joy, yea, sing praises.

5 Sing praises unto Jehovah with the harp;

With the harp and the voice of melody.

6 With trumpets and sound of cornet

Make a joyful noise before the King, Jehovah.

7 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof;

The world, and they that dwell therein;

8 Let the floods clap their hands;

Let the hills sing for joy together

9 Before Jehovah; for he cometh to judge the earth:

He will judge the world with righteousness,

And the peoples with equity.
